| Most people 'tune' with an air fuel controller, such as the Apex'i S-AFC. What it does is modify the MAF signal before it gets to the ECU in order to fool the ECU into changing the fuel measurement. Then there are stand alone EMS's (Engine Management Systems) that allow you to adjust the A/F ratio by tuning the injector pulse width and duty cycle directly. There are a couple different devices in between the two, like the Greddy E-manage, that allow for similiar adjustments. The wideband O2 sensor gives the tuner a real time A/F ratio and, when graphed, will show the points where fuel should be added or removed to smooth out the fuel curve.
